Happy Friday! I know I am a little behind on my bump recaps. It feels like it is going by so fast. My 2nd trimester was so much better than my 1st. I wanted to share a recap of my 2nd trimester with you all plus this cute Spring dress outfit. This dress is not available in this pink anymore but available in green. I sized up to a medium for the bump. I decided to pair it with my favorite wedges. These are from last year but they came up with a super similar pair this year. I ordered my normal size 8. I also added neutral accessories and this leopard belt to give it a pop. Now onto my 2nd trimester recap.

Morning Sickness & Cravings

I was finally able to start eating regular food. All of my 1st trimester I hated chicken. It is also when the cravings started to hit a little more stronger. Since I wasn’t having morning sickness I feel like I craved more things. One of my favorite cravings was a strawberries and cream frapp from Starbucks. I also loved anything sour. Also breakfast food has been my jam lately, French toast or Waffles have been my go to breakfast item.

Baby Movements

The 2nd trimester is also when I started to feel Baby Brown move and actually kick. You all it is weird at first but so cool. I felt her first start kicking around 20-21 weeks. Now she kicks all the time and I absolutely love it.

20 week Anatomy Ultrasound

Also during your 2nd trimester you will have your 20 week ultrasound. This is where you can find out the gender if you didn’t want to do the blood test. I decided to do the blood test so we knew going into the Ultrasound that Baby Brown was a girl. It was pretty cool to confirm it though. This ultrasound they look at all of baby’s organs and check to make sure everything is normal. One of the coolest parts of this Ultrasound is you actually get to see the shape of the baby’s head and it doesn’t look like a little lima bean anymore. Since my Ultrasound was before Covid-19 I was able to bring my husband. However now that might not be the case.

Maternity Clothes

The 2nd trimester is also when I bit the bullet and bought maternity clothes. I personally don’t think you need all maternity clothes. For most of the items I just sized up one.  I picked up the basics such as tank tops, t-shirts, and maternity jeans. I also plan on doing a blog post with my favorite maternity clothes I have picked up. So stay tuned for that.

Baby Registry

I also started to put ideas together what I wanted for my baby registry. I picked up her first pair of freshly picked moccasins in pink blush. She also got her first bow. I also started shopping with my Mom for baby items such as little outfits such as baby’s going home outfit. Me and the hubby started researching car seats, baby monitors, & strollers. I also started my registry. I highly recommend starting your registry early. I was supposed to have a baby shower at the end of March, however with Covid-19 my shower got postponed. I was able to have a virtual baby shower via zoom though. I was glad I had researched everything and signed up for my baby registry early it made it a little less stressful. With the pandemic I had to order things I knew I would need such as diapers and wipes.

Baby Moon

I also started shopping for my baby moon before I knew we had to postpone it. If you are going on a baby moon I highly suggest making sure you pack for it and pick up items you will need. If you are going on a beach vacation I would pick up swimsuits up a size or a maternity bathing suit. I shared on the blog What to Pack for a 7 day Beach Baby Moon.

I think that about sums it up for my 2nd Trimester recap, let me know if you have any questions.
