Postpartum Smobaby Bootcamp Review

With the start of the New Year one of my resolutions is to continue to work on my fitness and diet. I started the postpartum program Smobaby in September and it has been the best decision I have made.

I had gained the amount of weight recommended by my doctor but after having my baby I just felt weak and not like myself. My middle section was flabby but hey I did just have a baby so I knew it was not going to be an overnight thing to get back to my pre-pregnancy self. I feel that is the biggest misconception is being able to get back to your pre-pregnacy self right away. I knew I needed to give myself time and needed help. Smobaby seemed like a great option to try. I had heard so many great things about the program and I thought it does not hurt to try it to see if I like it.

Smobaby Program

Smobaby is a postpartum program that is 7 weeks, has a postpartum support facebook group, on-demand workouts, and a team of specialists that are able to help you along the way. They also incorporate carb cycling and intermittent fasting. You can do the program even if you are breastfeeding or not. Which to me was amazing! Valerie and the other trainers work with you to help you calculate how many calories/macros you can have. Which I was shocked from doing the program how litte I was eating.  With breastfeeding I needed a lot more calories.

The thing I loved best about Smobaby was the accountability. In the facebook group you post your nutrition daily and are given feedback based on how well you did. The first week is prep week to let you get the hang of the program before it officially starts which I think is great. Which the carb cycling part of the program is a little bit of a learning curve. Valerie and her team really help you out with this as well. The workouts are also tailored to your fitness level. All the trainers show the workout moves from beginner to advanced. Also if you aren’t ready to do the workouts you can also do the nutriton first.

My Results

I started the program when I was 3 months postpartum. As I stated above I gained the recommened amount of weight while pregnant. So my weight didn’t fluctuate that much but I was amazed by how many inches I lost. I also felt that I was getting stronger and toning my body. I did both the nutrition part and workouts the most I could at first. Which to be honest I did the beginner moves first then progressed to the intermediate workouts. For my first round of Smobaby I lost overall 7.5 inches. You can also do the Smobaby program as many times as you would like until you move on to the regular program TRIM. I just completed 1 round of Smobaby and moved on to TRIM. I am currently doing the TRIM program, so stay tuned for a review of the TRIM program as well.

Overall I have been super impressed with this program and highly recommend it. If you are wanting to try Smobaby the next round starts January 4th, however you can join anytime.
